Founded in 2018, Labshares is the premier provider of shared laboratory facilities, advanced equipment, and comprehensive services tailored for emerging biotech and life science companies. Labshares offers a flexible, capital-efficient, all-inclusive alternative to traditional lab spaces, allowing our members to focus on what matters most – advancing their science.

Located minutes from downtown Boston and Cambridge, Labshares operates a state-of-the-art, 44,000ft² BSL-2 facility and provides fully equipped shared and private lab spaces. We are specifically tailored to meet the unique needs of emerging biotech companies. Labshares provide much more than just space:  Members have access to world-class equipment, the support of our expert team, and a community of innovative emerging companies.

Labshares’ infrastructure and all-inclusive services give our members a cost-effective pathway to growth, helping them achieve critical milestones without the burdens of costly long-term leases or expensive lab buildouts. Labshares is science, simplified.

Guidance Under New Leadership

Philip Borden now leads Labshares' next chapter as CEO. Before joining Labshares, Philip worked as a venture capitalist, where he witnessed firsthand the challenges faced by emerging biotech and life sciences companies. This experience sharpened his focus on creating practical and impactful solution to address the challenges faced by companies at this critical stage. Labshares embodies that vision—a space designed to empower these innovators with the resources and flexibility they need to thrive.

Philip aims to build on Labshares' legacy as the premier provider of shared laboratory solutions. Labshares' founder, Jeff Behrens, continues his involvement and support of the company as a member of the Board of Directors
